Genetic Modification

Hi everyone, I'm doing my EPQ on Genetic Modification for cosmetic reasons and I wanted to get some insight into what would motivate a parent to genetically modify their embryo to make a change to the child's appearance without any specific medical benefits. Any opinions would be great thank you in advance.

I can’t believe any parent would really do this, aren’t all our children the most beautiful perfect things as they are?!

Maybe some parents would wish their children slightly different features to stop bullying but I think then perhaps the bullies should have been genetically modified not to be such judgmental little gits in the first place

Surely the only cosmetic influences you can have through genetic modification are hair or eye colour?
