Thinking of starting the Fast 800 (keto) - any tips?

I've found one thread but only two comments. Anyone doing this, signed up for the 12 week plan, bought the soups or shakes, got any advice?

I've just started (last Tues). Only using the book at the moment. Recipes are good, and I am AMAZED that I'm not at all hungry despite the apparently meager portions (makes me wonder just why I was eating such big portions before). I was expecting crippling headaches and so on, and - nothing! I feel good. Haven't bought soips/shakes - cooking straight from the book, and most of the recipes are for 2, so that's leftovers for the next day...

Just thinking about joining the site now to make things easier... easier to follow, easier to meal plan and so on.

Please research the hair loss that sometimes is a side effect of keto and low carbing….

Thanks @LostInTheColonies that's encouraging to know. @MrsBloxby yes, I'm aware of the short term effects of this type of dieting. Good to know,

I've just moved on to the maintenance version having done 3 months fast 800 keto. Lost 32lbs

It was the easiest I've ever done to stick to, past the first few days feeling a bit grotty. I felt amazing (still do)

my only advice is in the first few days if hungry or headachey just look after yourself, have a nice big mug of herbal tea or a bovril (with some franks red hot original sauce in it if you like spice) and take some painkillers. It passes pretty quickly

also be very accurate with your measurements especially with oil otherwise its very easy to accidentally have too many calories which is not ideal purely because the low cal nature of it is what keeps hunger at bay imho and if you go 100cals over, sure no biggie but if thats every day for 3 months it could add up to basically just not getting what you want

I've had no hair loss, my blood pressure is down from 'if you don't get this down you need to start meds' level to 100% normal. I have had all the recommended supplements though so also have to big those up

I’m starting the fast 800 today ( not Keto) so have no tips as of yet! I have the fast 800 recipe book on its way to me and will weigh myself this morning. Not an ideal day to start as I have had a heavy cold for a few days and still struggling with it but I’ve decided I must begin!

chickyellowcute that’s impressive weight loss and good advice.
