Housing association House swap.

I have 4 kids. Ages 11 to 18. 3 share a room. One in box room. DP and I in middle room.

One living room down stairs.
Large grassy garden. Medium front garden with parking.
Quite a desirable are south manchester.

Have been contacted by a woman looking to down size. Area is OK but would rather be here. Is only 15 mins away though.

No front garden. No parking. Small concrete back garden (I have 3 dogs) but a park small walk away.

Now she has 4 bedrooms over 3 floors and 2 small storage rooms.

2 reception rooms.

House is considerably bigger than ours.

I just don't know

Yes. Same schools. It's. A 10 min drive away. Easy bus route for kids.

And actually closer for the eldest ones in college.

I've been speaking to her alot today and she wants to come view our house.

I actually really want to do it. I know the garden is a big deal to alot of people but if you lived like this for years with no storage space, no room, no privacy I think you would understand that all that space is worth the trade of the garden.

It's big enough for us to sit in and have a BBQ. That's enough at our kids age I think.

If you want to do it, then of course. But go see it first before you agree. Good luck.

Sounds the best idea to each go and see the other's house but on paper I think you are right to move Talulahey Good luck!

I think the extra space in the house makes lots of sense....and lots of people have small gardens+ dogs
As you say 4 beds are rare so when they do all leave home you'll probably be able to swop again...
