Are you a good multi-tasker?

Just that really. I've always grown up hearing and believing that women can all multitask, but I honestly can't! Most common example: I don't mind doing housework, but I absolutely hate having to do it if they kids are constantly interrupting me- it makes me uncharacteristically ragey. I can't bear starting a task if I don't know whether I'll get a chance to finish it.

So I end up kind of frozen in a loop of wanting to just sort something out (medium sized task, like going through the cupboards and moving all the outgrown clothes down to the next kid etc) but not being able to face starting it, because I know I'll be interrupted, and once I'm interrupted I just can't get started again, so there's no point starting in the first place. But I do really want to get it done!

Proficient multi-taskers out there: is it a big effort for you, but just grit your teeth and get on with it anyway? Does it really not bother you? Is this something I can learn?!!
