Help-frozen beef!

Morning-I have a joint of beef to cook today that has been in the fridge and somehow the temperature of the fridge has turned down and it is partially frozen (about half of it). I’ve taken it out-is there any way to get it defrosted in the next 4 hours before I need to put it in the oven? Thanks!

I think it should be defrosted in 4 hours.

I put things in cold water to defrost too when I need it defrosting quickly.

It'll be fine in 4 hours but cold water work well as suggested. COLD water not warm.

Or cook it in gravy for longer. That’s how I cook beef anyway nowadays. Much more tender. The longer you cook it the better. And it doesn’t shrink as much.
