Looking for Kindle help

I took my Kindle to hospital outpatients appointment. While trying to find the link to the internet I've clicked on something which means my Kindle now has a really dark screen. I can just about see what's on it but not enough to be able to use it.

I'm wondering if there's anyone on here who knows what I've done and how to undo it.

What sort is it?

I think it's a Kindle Fire.

You might have turned the blue screen on or off, or dimmed the screen on the settings.

If you pull down from the top of the screen, the settings should appear.

pulling down gives:

Wifi, Bluetooth, Aeroplane mode, blue shade, do not disturb, Help, Camera, Landscape.

Just fiddled with sittings it went frrom dark to gold colour which enabled me to see more of the screen and I've been able to fix it. I've tried for the last four days so thanks for your help. I have to confess I have never really got into learning what I should have when I bought it so time to do it now.

It's blue shade. I use it at night so I don't disturb DH when I'm reading in bed. Because of this habit, I've had to learn the approximate area of the screen that the blue shade bit appears when I pull the settings down so that I can deactivate it if I've forgotten to take it off and it happens to be in daylight. Very annoying but such a handy feature too.

Well done for fixing it OP it's so easy to hit the wrong button occasionally and so much harder to fix when you're not sure what you've done at the time.
