I received a central line in my neck today. I'm lying in my hospital bed and feeling like I will never sleep again.
Has anyone ever had one of these and able to reassure me it does get better. I regret being talked into having it under a local anaesthetic without sedation because I wasn't completely numb in the correct bit so it really hurt.
I'm feeling rather sorry for myself looking like Frankenstein's monster.
