Hoping for some advice…2nd lower left premolar had many issues for years with a filling between that tooth and one behind always coming loose. Now, it’s been filled so many times, it is right on top of nerve, so dentist is attempting root canal. First attempt couldn’t quite get to bottom of root (mine are a bit curved). However, just before that first attempt, a large chunk of tooth on the side came away. So a lot of glass ionomer filling in the whole tooth whole waiting for next appointment. Now that temporary filling has chunks coming out, and possibly a bit of tooth as well as a very thin edge left now. My question is really whether worth persevering with another root canal attempt as presumably with a tooth that keeps fracturing it won’t last long. Or just get it extracted now? Any advice very welcome 😊
