No tears

I'm going through a really shit time at the moment - work, marriage, health .. everything. I'm normally a cry baby, to the point where I can't control the tears when I'm stressed. I'm feeling the urge to cry, to have a big release of all my emotions and stress but they just aren't coming!

I'm wondering if anyone has experienced similar. Basically I'm wondering if this is going to contribute to an almighty breakdown.

I think it's quite common actually. When you're too stressed your body won't let you let go, even though you need to. I'm feeling a bit like you, my brother died a month ago and I didn't even cry at the funeral, and still haven't. I'm a bit worried about what happens when it hits me, so you're definitely not alone. I hope things start to improve for you, it sounds like you've got a lot on your plate right now xx

I've felt like this since my very very dear grandfather died over 3 years ago.
I'm sorry I don't have answers OP but sometimes I feel like a proper howling cry would really really help.

In a way I think I've blocked it out completely. It's utterly surreal.

Thank you both, I am sorry for your respective losses. I understand it can be quite normal when grieving so I guess its similar in the way my mind and body are trying to cope or process things.

I've been going thr3a difficult time and just feel numb. I can't cry most of the time.
I do find occasionally music brings me to tears, but they're gentle tears.
