I find I turn to them during troubling times in my life, for a little glimmer of hope if nothing else. It’s just nice to read that something good might happen to me (spoiler: it doesn’t).
I mean, I’d never pay for a reading or anything. But in the small hours where I am up worrying about something horrible that’s happening in my life, I do like to read that next Wednesday, a situation will be resolved, or that in June, I will have the chance to move house, even though I know it’s all bollocks.
