Anyone finding huge delays with Royal Mail

This is driving me mad at the moment! DD posted me a beautiful hand made card last Friday (1st class tracked) for my for my friend's wedding today-it hasn't arrived...

I sent her a parcel 24 hour tracked on Tuesday ( something she needs by Friday) and just had notification that it's not arriving at hers till Saturday!

Why bother paying extra for postage to ensure it gets there on time? Really bloody annoyed! 😡

things coming to me seem to be ok but post arrives at my parent's days later - I sent 2 things to them on the same day, made the 9am collection here and posted 1st class on the Thursday morning. One arrived on Saturday and the other item on Tuesday! I've joked that i'm going to post their Xmas card next week to make sure it gets there on time!

It's been like this for ages. RM had record levels of sickness and enormous amounts of mail. It's frustrating but not a recent thing.

Terrible organisation for the last few months. Covid is not the real reason. Morale amongst staff is low. Leadership is very, very poor.

Post is late, or partially destroyed - waterlogged sometimes - or just never gets here. Using Royal Mail as little as possible and like the BBC needs to be opened up to wider competition.

I got a card today which was only posted a day ago and sent 2nd class! May as well use 2nd class stamps

I'm waiting for a parcel, posted in the UK on Friday. Still not here. And a card posted on Saturday, no sign of that either. The postie's definitely about, going by the huge amount of junk mail and local election bumf that manages to land on my mat without any problems.

Yes, I had a letter from dwp about my carers allowance "annual increase" (ha! I now am worth 41p an hour instead of 40p 🤦🏻‍♀️) that was allegedly sent April 1st. It arrived yesterday (13th).

I've almost given up ordering from ebay due to 2nd class royal mail not reaching me.

Wrr yep. It a sh*t show. I asked for something to be put in my safe place- it wasn't. I had to collect. I also asked for redelivery in my day off. It did not come. E mail stated that if they didn't do on the specified day they would do the nxt day.😫 I am not objecting to them.going on strike
