Teething anklets

Does anyone recommend teething anklets? Do they work? I can't understand the reason/science as to how they would. I wouldn't ever put a necklace or bracelt on her as worried about choking but an anklet could be a compromise - any recommendations?

I really wouldn't. There is no scientific evidence to back them up. On the contrary in fact. They are a potential choking hazard. Babies are extremely flexible and can put their feet in their mouths. It could also be uncomfortable to the baby.

Of course they don't work, they are a placebo and anyone who claims they worked for their child just happened to get lucky that teething didn't bother their baby as much as it did for others.

I never understood how anyone could fall for the concept. If an adult had toothache and they were told to wear a pretty Amber bracelet they would rightly think their doctor was a nutter.

It's very telling that adults use pain relief aka actual medicine that works and only those too young to protest are given a bit of Amber to wear.

Nothing in them OP but someone will be along in a minute to wax lyrical no doubt.
Recommendations-if the baby is in pain with teething then give them a toy to gnaw on and a bit of calpol or ibuprofen
