DD (6) has threadworms.. spotted this morning so we've all taken a dose of ovex and cleaned everything to within an inch of its life! What to expect next?

We're supposed to be staying with family Wednesday, is it wise to cancel this?

Don’t cancel but make sure you take your second dose in a few days (I forget, but it’ll be on the bottle)
First dose kills the adults, the second kills the eggs
Boil wash all bedding, pjs etc and make sure all hands are washed after using the loo (soap and water is enough-really rub under the nails, not just a quick dip in the sink-looking at you first born)
They are grim and every family gets them at some point (it took me a while to get rid as I have 6 kids and they just kept reinfecting each other) but other than being grim they are not dangerous
I think we ended up taking 3 doses each time rather than two but I don’t recommend that!
I was just a bit paranoid as things like that turn my stomach
