Sleepover - Would you?

So, DS is 7. Friend's mum has invited him for a sleepover next week. DS is keen to go.

However. I have only met friend's mum once. I have never met the husband. The husband was going to pick up DS but I said, no I will drop him off (so I can see where they live)

But now, I'm thinking this is ridiculous. He really shouldn't be sleeping out somewhere I don't know. He also doesn't live where I thought he did.

How would you handle this?

I would just call the mum and explain how you're feeling and ask if it's ok for him to have a couple of play dates there and at yours first 🤷🏼‍♀️ straightforward communication always easiest. You might find that the mums reaction reassures you or otherwise

My thinking has always been sleepovers are for secondary school..
My dc have never asked before then and it works for us.

Yes I think that's the best plan. She seems lovely but I really don't know her from Adam. The thought of him being upset at 2am in the morning and not knowing what to do just tells me it's not the right thing to do.

But as he's sitting now, he's so excited to go on a sleepover!
