Opinions on this ring?

So 3 years ago, my lovely partner proposed to me with a beautiful pear shaped cluster ring. As below 😊

I absolutely adore it, but have just had weight loss surgery and am loosing weight rapidly on my fingers. I've been to several jewellers, who have advised that they could only take it down In size, by two sizes.. due to the diamond shoulders. Anything more than this will seriously loosen the diamonds settings causing loose and wobbly diamonds.

SO.. DP asked if I would ever consider a new ring. And we have both seen the lovely pre-owned Art Deco style one below.

We want to keep it on the down-low for now until we decide if we would like to go ahead with it or not.. so I haven't sent it to anybody 'in real life' 😂

So I wondered if I could get opinions?

I like your original one much more and this this is a great idea. Now, I am not sure how your wedding ring will sit with that shape? You might have end up wearing them in different fingers anyway

Isn't this ring also going to have problems with being resized? It fits now but presumably you are still losing weight.

I have these on a ring that fits when my hands are warm but is far too loose when it's cold. They are excellent.

Can't you use one of those plastic things you out on the back of a ring to make it smaller, can't think what they're called but they work well and are comfy.

I didn't get on with that sort, the plain sort worked better,I'll try and find a link.

I like it (and prefer it to your original, but that's based on what would suit me). But. It also has diamond shoulders and as you are still losing weight that could bead to you having another ring that can't easily be altered.
