Is there anywhere to just buy Audiobooks?

Don’t want a subscription like Audible as not sure they’d use it.

Just want to buy the books so they can listen at their own pace as some days they’ll not want to listen at all.

So where can I buy the books to listen to?

A bookshop? Waterstones does. Be aware they are quite pricey and you can't get the ISIS CDs they have in the library.

Google play store sells audio books, and my local library also has a free audio book app that often has new releases

@SickAndTiredAgain Thank you found the two books my dads been pestering me to get on Amazon, I had over looked the option to buy the book outright.

You can buy them from Google Play. They're not cheap but you can play them on Google minis, home hubs (unlike audibles) which is a bonus for me.

Thank you everyone found the books wanted.

My dad has them due to macro degeneration.
I'm lucky to find them on eBay sometimes,
New online and he gets a visit from the local library who talk to him and know what he likes and they drop a box off every few months .

Superfonik has a huge amount of content just for kids and no screen. Our kids go to sleep listening to an audiobook every night and it’s stopped us wanting to kill them on car journeys!

There's Cloudaloud which we use, it's a subscription but its cheap, 3.99. I got tired of buying audiobooks my kids didn't finish lsitening to so streaming works better for us.
