I'm mcdonalds branches in Cape Cod you can get a lobster roll!

SleepyTraveller · 09/04/2022 21:05

At least five, probably more, but I tend to only go if I'm too tired or rushed to think about food so have no particular memories of any of them except my first non-UK one. That was an Austrian fillet-o-fish and indistinguishable from the UK version.

autienotnaughty · 09/04/2022 21:05

Uk, Spain and France. I went to loret de mar about 15 year ago and they use to have vending machines in the street selling McDonald's we use to get a "long chicken" at 5am on way back from nightclub. It had probably been sat there all night🤢

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 09/04/2022 21:05

I just asked DH about Germany because we lived in Berlin for a while, but we're both pretty sure that we never went to McDonalds there. There were so many different types of restaurants and cafes where we lived (near Ku'damm) that there was always something better to eat.

Adeleskirts · 09/04/2022 21:06

Odd answers, Spain, uk, USA, belgium, ,,,no discernible difference, honestly.

NalPolishRemover · 09/04/2022 21:07

Belgium - beer & mayo woth the fries yum!

I’m so confused, I lived there for years, it’s the exact same as the uk and Mayo comes in little packs like you get here, just the same as tomato sauce etc.,some are licenced. Some are not, but if they are it’s just a can.

Confused

I’m with you on Hong Kong, op. We had a night flight out of HK and I was on the verge of a tantrum when I realised McDs was the only place to eat open at the airport and my last meal of the holiday wasn’t going to be something local. Had an AMAZING salmon burger so all was not lost.

Haven’t eaten at loads abroad as I don’t eat meat and I pretty much always have a Fillet O’Fish so not much to explore, but I can certainly recall Brazil (McFish there), Italy, Portugal and the US.

Muppetlove · 09/04/2022 21:17

Very few of the places I've travelled but my absolute favourite was in India. I'd had a funny tummy towards the end of my trip and just needed something that I knew would taste as expected and not make the digestion issues worse. Mission accomplished.

Nosetickle · 09/04/2022 21:19

UK, France, Spain, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong. Really couldn’t tell them apart. Went to a Pizza Hut in New Zealand though and it was absolutely hideous, dirty tables all around us and we were the only people in there it was really weird and the pizza tasted awful!

Weaselstoatferret · 09/04/2022 21:20

Been to McDonald's in India which was so good, no beef obviously so everything is veggie, chicken or fish. Chicken Maharaja burger was the best. They also has proper toilets rather than squatters so that was a big plus!

GeneLovesJezebel · 09/04/2022 21:21

Had it in Florida once, and it wasn’t as good as ours

Angryattrackandtrace · 09/04/2022 21:21

India- I was delighted fries to eat in air con. No beef but their chicken spicy burger was amazing! images.app.goo.gl/Hced6m1VGFAs1n7s7

Angryattrackandtrace · 09/04/2022 21:23

@Weaselstoatferret - great minds think alike. I’d forgetten the excitement of a none squat toilet!

Scarybutnecassary · 09/04/2022 21:28

The Macdonalds in Times Square very disappointing…definitely prefer my cheeky drive through in our local town, double cheeseburger …my secret pleasure a couple of times a month !,!

MrsLJ2014 · 09/04/2022 21:29

Every country I've visited I've had a McDonald's but getting spam in McDonald's in Hawaii was most memorable!

purplesequins · 09/04/2022 21:29

netherlands - it's cheaper to go to a proper restaurant.
but fries with fritsaus (sort of like mayo) is yum.

AnneShirleysNewDress · 09/04/2022 21:47

India has been the best by far. The had an amazing spicy chicken burger.

Roominmyhouse · 09/04/2022 21:52

No idea about countries I’ve had one in but I have to say I loved that I could get a sausage and egg McMuffin all day in Hong Kong. They need to do that over here!

Newbabynewhouse · 09/04/2022 21:54

Five i think...England, wales, poland, portugal and new zealand ...can't remember which one was best now

Fedupperiod · 09/04/2022 21:59

My parents live in Sweden and when we go to there my DD always says it doesnt taste the same, her saying is how does a big Mac taste so different lol

PunkAssMoFo · 09/04/2022 22:01

@Badbadbunny I didn’t go in it, but there was definitely a maccies in Israel- right next to the Dead Sea.

I have however visited the most northern McDonald’s in the world in the Finnish arctic circle.

Belkell · 09/04/2022 22:11

I love the Aussie burger with beetroot. Definitely miss that.

Kddie · 09/04/2022 22:20

I have had Mcdonalds from the airport in Dusseldorf, I had curly fries and it was delicious

Quirrelsotherface · 09/04/2022 22:21

Spain: salty fries and fresh tasting - loved it
