Conditional Discharge & DBS

My sister received a conditional discharge due to finish on the 21/5/22.

Will this show up on a basic and enhanced DBs check?

Does she have to declare it once it's spent?

It may show up on an enhanced DBS. I don't know for how long a conditional discharge shows up on a record but I think it is quite right that it does show up. The reason the system was changed to include such things as warnings and discharges was because of Ian Huntley and no one wants a situation like that to arise again.

On the other hand if, for example, a teenager gets a warning for a one off shoplifting offense it is unlikely to be held against years later.

Whether or not it affects a job offer depends if the specific offense is related to the job responsibilities.
