Scared to conceive

Hi :)

Im 34, married and want a family , but I’m scared to conceive . When I think of getting pregnant there are moments of excitement but they are far outweighed by fearful thoughts.

How do you feel when you wereTTC? Is this a normal response or should you feel more excited and a bit nervous/ fearful ( the other way around to me !)

Please help! Very frustrated with myself that I can’t go ahead and start trying without obsessing over it .. the ideal would be for hubby and I to start trying and it should be a joyful experience - is that realistic ?!

TIA

I’m exactly the same, 33, married, know I want kids but the thought of hospital appts, labour, a massive change makes me anxious and I think if I had a positive pregnancy test my initial reaction would be ‘oh shit’ even though I know I want a baby!
