Easter Biscuits

Lighthearted - as I don’t really want to start a food shortage thread….

But, where have all the Easter Biscuits gone? Not seen any in Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose or M&S. And now I have a craving for one.

My mum used to bake them every year. The ingredients included oil of cassia which she used to order from the chemist.

I knew they had an unusual ingredient in them, just couldn’t remember what. If I made some without the Cassia, would it ruin the taste I wonder?

They don’t taste the same with cinnamon instead of oil of cassia. From personal experience

We have some in the cupboard; oil of cassia not in the ingredients though
