Good day everybody
I would like to find out from you guys...
Would you buy a diamond dot painting that has already been done for you? I really do need a form of income and was wondering if this would work I see there's pillowcases available with pictures on them.

would you buy something like that and if so how much would your budget be?

I have to be honest with you: no. I'm sorry. But that's just me, though.

As an aside - wouldn't the pillowcases be somewhat bumpy?

DealWithTheDevilAtTheCrossroad · 09/04/2022 05:44

Had to Google it, no, I wouldn't buy either the pillowcase or the painting, sorry.

Absolutely not.

Well diamond dot painting is like paint by numbers, it's a hobby that people do to relax. It's unskilled. You are not creating anything original or producing a product that people would want to buy. The joy in the product is in completing it for yourself.

A completed diamond dot/ paint by numbers product is second hand, in my opinion. It's similar to asking if someone would want to buy a colouring book that you had coloured in for them so they could enjoy looking at the pictures.

If you want to sell something then you need to have some sort of originality in your product.

Although to be honest, small homemade crafts don't usually generate a huge income. For most people it's more they can recover the cost of the materials they use. It's not usually a feasible way to make a living. Sorry.

If you were to get really good at something like diamond dot, and started to make and produce your own designs, then maybe you could sell them?

There's something about selling something which isn't your original work which is a bit naff. I don't think people will go for it.

I would not buy a completed diamond dot painting just as I would not buy a completed paint by numbers picture.

Pillowcases with pictures on does not appeal to me.
