Anyone taken more than one dose of night nurse?

I've just taken 20ml, planning to take another 20ml at 8:00pm before I go to bed but just seen that it's meant to be no more than one dose a day. I've had one dose the last 2 nights and it's not done much. I've got COVID and feel pretty shitty and desperate for a good sleep.

Can I safely take another dose after 4 hours?

You’d probably get away with it but honestly, I wouldn’t. Many many years ago I had a really nasty bout of flu at uni (actually the symptoms were so close to Covid I wonder if these SARS-type viruses have been around far longer than we think) and I found that I felt very weird indeed on the third night of Night Nurse.

The main danger is overdosing on paracetamol, so whatever you do, don’t take paracetamol on top of any of these remedies. When the NN has cleared your system, I’d stick with paracetamol, honey and lemon juice maybe with a whisky shot for a sore throat

I take it that you're taking the liquid one if you're measuring in ml? I've always found the night one really effective as long as it's the liquid and not the tablet form.

You could add an antihistamine to clear your nose and help you sleep?

Yeah the liquid one and until now it's always worked pretty well, but has let me down a bit this time. I definitely won't take anything else with paracetamol. Might just try an antihistamine...no whiskey in the house unfortunately

I find antihistamines really effective at knocking me out so hopefully that will help and you sleep well.

Regretfully i took a whole packet… obviously i woke up maybe there could be long term damage. Guess time will tell.

You took a whole packet (10 tablets) of Night Nurse in one go? Please take yourself to A&E if so.
