My daughters school have planned a Year 6 trip and they want them to stay in a Holiday Inn. Two 10 year old girls in one room. Would you let your daughter go? Thanks

Yes, my DS did this in year 5, two children to a room.

Yes, very normal in Y6, what's the problem?

Yes. The school will likely have a floor, teachers will be 'on patrol'.

I've done a trip like this. It was fine. We talked to the children about room safety and removed everything dangerous like kettles and irons from the rooms before we put the children in the rooms. We'd had them up since 4.30am and they were all so tired that not one child was awake past 8.45pm 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
In all honesty, having them in rooms of 2 is far better than bigger groups- there's less opportunity for silliness.
With regard to safeguarding, we had a whole corridor to ourselves. We patrolled and children were given strict instructions about door safety.
It was fine
