Duinrell advice

HI all, I've name changed as I've been banging on about our impending holiday to everyone and don't want to out myself!

We're just about to book a break at Duinrell for the next half term - we're pretty convinced from reviews/personal experiences of friends etc that it's fab and we're very excited... we just can't decide which 'Duingalow' to go for. I'm keen on the 'Comfort for kids' option because of the extra outside space but DP is worried about the distance to the action, and also says we don't really need a garden with a slide etc as we'll have lots to do. This accommodation says it is 10 mins away from the parks. Other options say 5 minutes away (or 10 minutes). I don't feel like 10 minutes is too far at all, but I also don't want our distance from the main stuff to be a pain.

Does anyone have any experience of the site and, if you have, can you help me make up my mind (DP has left it up to me)?! Thanks.

Thanks, certainly sounds like two days at Efteling won't be nearly enough! Will need to make a plan closer to the time for what we definitely want to do/see when we're there. Hope everyone off to the Netherlands this year has a fab time Smile

Went there several times when DS was younger. We camped though.

It's a great place - easy to get round. The Hague is so close by public transport and you can get to Amsterdam easily. I love The Netherlands.

Lots to do and see.

What would you say is the maximum age kids would really get the most out of this park please? Looks fab

My eldest two are 19 and 17 and they still love Duinrell .
If you mean Efteling , they love that also but the theming is more geared towards younger kids .

We stayed in premium and comfort. Comfort was grim, grotty, moldy and had mice in it. Premium was lovely so good choice

Oh fab, mine are pre-teen/early teen. Amazing!

I think Duinrell would be great for teens as long as they will go on the white knuckle rides/ slides in the water park. Otherwise what's left would be a bit babyish. But if they enjoy cycling and the beach it's great for that too.

It's a short walk to Wassenaar which has a nice ice cream parlour and a good bagel place. On the main road next to Duinrell is a decent pancake house.
