Hoping someone can share a similar story. I have been diagnosed with a chronic fissure that I’ve had for about 5 months. At first it was on and off and gp said it was piles, however I recently saw a consultant who said it is a fissure. I have been using GTN cream for just over two weeks, and the pain is subsiding but I still get blood every time I go. The consultant did say this may happen and that the cream tends to stop the pain before the bleeding but I would like to know other peoples stories if possible please?
