Hi,

I want to get a reasonably priced 3D printer. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations to share?

Thanks!

Want to get one for DS, looking at Ender 3 V2. Has great reviews on amazon but don't know anything beyond that.

Hmm yes I saw that one - I’m just a bit clueless about which to go for in that price range…that has got good reviews, something to consider!

We have an Anycubic Photon Mono SE resin one and it’s really good. We also have a CTC filament 3D printer which is a replica of Makerbot which is good but I personally prefer resin over filament. I find resin looks better and is less fiddly. Filament you have to adjust nozzle temperature, bed temperature, speed…

The Photon also looks pretty cool for a child/teenager and doesn’t take much space up!

We have an Ended 3.
Good little machine for the money. But fiddly to set the bed height but once you've got the feel for it, it is fine.
Tip - if you're using PLA, keep it in a strong Ziploc bag or a tub/tin with a little packet of silica gel to absorb moisture. It will prevent your filament from degrading.

We had an an Ender. It was an absolute pain in the area to set up, as can be seen from fact that most of the starter projects for it are to print additional bits to get it to work.

We switched to a a Flashforge Adventurer 3, which literally works straight out of the box.

The Enders is now being sold for parts because it just spontaneously stopped working in the end.
