Is there a way to get a loan without proof of income?

I don’t think you should. They ask to see proof of income to prove you can pay it back - or at least have the means to pay it back. If you can’t pay it back getting a loan is just borrowing trouble for tomorrow.

Depending on what the money is for I may be able to help you re linking to helpful places. I have had experience of certain businesses - if you call some, for example, phone companies they will be understanding and try to help you if you can’t afford your bill one month. Most companies are willing to work with you and can defer a payment for a short time of you get in ahead of it and speak to them when you’re struggling.

Also it’s worth checking you’re claiming everything you’re entitled to. Sometimes you might lose out on certain benefits you could claim simply because you didn’t know.

Failing that I’ve always found caring jobs to be quick start and lots of shifts, although not the most pleasant work I’ve ever done.

I’ve never had to show proof. My credit file and score is enough.

If you’re not passing on that then probably not.

I have never had to prove income and I havent used anyone dodgy, I have had loans from M&S, Admiral, Sainsburys. Its usually just based on your credit score.

Never had to show proof. How would they know what deductibles you had? Pensions? Work leans etc

Thank you!
After being told I’m daft etc the grown ups finally arrived and confirmed what I already knew

Never had to show proof of income, but I guess they can see what they need to know through credit checks. I did have to show my bank statements for a mortgage although that was a while ago.

Hoppinggreen · 08/04/2022 08:44

I did for mortgages but never for anything unsecured

I haven't had to show proof of income for a loan either but they do ask what your employment status is and how much you earn.
