I solved Semantle #70 in 253 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 11.28. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #63. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 3.56. semantle.novalis.org/

OK... I'm afraid I gave up after nearly 300 guesses. Would never, ever have thought of 943 in the context it's obviously meant in, so even with everyone's clues, don't think I would have got there today.

That was quick! I think I must have hit upon a really good route because all 4 of my green guesses were closely related and all bar one are synonyms in modern parlance.

First time playing: got it on guess 88. First guess was cold with similarity of 15.70. Entered green on guess 24 with 627/1000. Penultimate guess was only at 18.19 similarity.

BTW 693 was my highest green, just checked the 900s and genuinely would have been going round in circles with those.

In all of my 389 blimmin guesses, I got 6 greens. 6! 🥵

Wait I have 915! Not 912. Random guess from a TV inspiration….others greens are low and include 688, 550 and 498…

Strange one - it took ages and only got a few green answers but suddenly got it.

I have 943 and 874 but not sure they are helping. I am creeping towards 300 guesses, this is ridiculous!

Is 987 any help. It's taken me 250 goes to get there . Before that I was on a complete different route of low greens and can't see a link
