That was bizarre, hardly got any greens and just read the clues on here (without any relevant greens) and pondered my way into it eventually. Snort at “like 991 but not” - that helped

I solved Semantle #70 in 119 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 7.10. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #96. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 36.72 (878/1000).

Interestingly I’ve just entered a loaf of words which I think are similar to the target word but in different contexts- they are all cold! Perhaps it’s the American/British cultural difference at play?

Is 986 any good? I don't have many greens but that's my best - I only have 161, 252, 265, 664 and 986 but just keep dancing around would gladly take a pm!

I'm looking closely at 962 and......I'm not getting it.

Whoever said above about the record guesses. I deleted my cookies but I'm sure I was in the 600s once. Mainly swear words going in by that point.

Oh I've got 983 now using a word that isn't a word. Weird.

Is it something on a 962? Can anyone give me another clue please it's doing my head in and I'm meant to be packing

I have 92 and 943 and nothing I can think of related to them is green.

I solved Semantle #70 in 209 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 3.65. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #38. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 10.50. semantle.novalis.org/

Ha, @InMySpareTime, I looked around me, saw something, spelled it wrong and now have 989.
