URGENT - how to get regular poster paint to stick to a hard boiled egg

Dd wants all her hard boiled eggs one colour to then draw on. We only have bog standard paints (like the tubs from wilko/tesco). But it just doesn't adhere. Tried mixing in a smidge of PVA. worked even less well.

Help!!!

Whoa, we ATE them when I was a kid. Making simple tie dye looking designs was fun. In Germany they sprinkled the shells on farmland, having also used the eggs in food. Why can't these eggs be decorated such that they can be eaten?

Try sanding the shell very lightly with fine sand paper or a nail file. This will provide a key for the paint to adhere to.

Hats off to all of you ! I was showing the egg entries to my class this morning and was astounded by all the time and effort that must've gone into making them .

Very good. How about a small amendment to 'eggmojis'.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 06/04/2022 21:54

Yeah that's what she initially planned but she couldn't get enough letters together to spell that Grin

Go DD! They look awesome!

Enjoy your well needed egg break before the dreaded 'egg dropping homework'.

Here's a tip... PARACHUTES DON'T WORK!
