I've had covid since last Sunday and haven't seen my little boy since Tuesday. He's with his Dad who thinks the best solution is to just keep him away until my LFT's are completely negative. Thing is, they're still quite prominent! My son is getting more upset as the days go on as he obviously hasn't seen me in nearly a week! Should I just insist he brings him back now? What would you do?!

If you have his dad who is willing to have him I would probably keep him away. We have all had covid this last week, my 18 month old has got it now and is really poorly. If I could prevent her having it I would. I’m sure your LFTs will be negative in the next couple of days.

Your LFTs may not go negative for weeks. You can still test positive long after no longer being infectious.
Tell his dad to bring him back tomorrow, that’s a full week and longer than officially required.
