Reporting help

I've NC for this, but I'm a long time user.
Daily tabloids can fuck off.....

Im in a terrible position.
Id really like to hear from people who have done the same and social workers if possible.

I have first hand experience of a very dysfunctional family. Both parents are using drugs. The house looks like a squat. Its just disgusting. I have offered help many times. Tbh its now beyond anything I can do and I feel the kids are compromised.
There has been social services in the past. None currently.
Personally I know each time SS visited the parents 'cleared up' because they were warned.
What it really needs is an unannounced visit.
I am aware the parents may not let them in (and unless there's major concerns they won't come back with police).
I really want to do the right thing for these kids.
Any kind advice would be appreciated.

You can't do anything but report again. I would report to social care but also to school if you know it.

You can say that you're aware that announced visits give them warning to clean up etc but social care do already know this and see this every day.

Just be as specific and detailed as you can be about your concerns.

Can you take photos of how the house is normally that can be shown to social services so that they can see before and after?

Also if there is a risk of imminent harm to children you can contact the police who are supposed to check asap and they can give social services a report of the living conditions they found when they investigated. This way the parents would not get warning of a visit.
