If the police put a case to CPS
And the CPS has to decide whether to bring it to court or not
How long do they usually take to do this?

I'm afraid it is taking absolutely ages to get a decison back at the moment, there's a huge back log.

Is it a domestic case?

It used to be that there was a 28 day window that they would look at the case after it had been submitted. This is not how it is at the moment and often it is taking three or so months.

The other thing that the CPS do is sometimes when they look at the evidence in the case you present to them, they come back asking you to do loads more further enquiries before they will make a decision. This can take more months to complete.

It is very broken.

Hope you are ok OP.

Oh right wow I wasn't expecting that actually

I guess it's good to be forewarned ☹️

It's neighbour harassment so although it's not in the house, it's right next to it.

I don't even know what CPS will say

Hopefully you'll get the outcome you want. Your police officer should check in with you monthly
