I started getting emails from them a couple of months ago. I unsubscrived, thinking I'd perhaps entered a competition or something and they'd come from that. Today I see that they have charged £10 to my credit card and I have no dea why, but a bit of googled shows they charge £10 a month for an account/membership. I'm still none the wiser as to why I'm being charged though I don't even really understand what they do, it seems to be some sort of selling platform.

Does anyone know

so instead of googling it you've asked on forum?

ImFree2doasiwant · 03/04/2022 15:50

@SamphiretheStickerist sorry then for being unbelievably dense. I'm very much on the limit financially and every £10matters to me. I'm alsonit very up to speed when it cones to technology. I'd appreciate it if you or someone could explain it to me. Sorry.

There's a thing called Google... It's quite clever and has the advantage of not being suspicious of daft posts.

ImFree2doasiwant · 03/04/2022 15:51

I don't sell anything!

Then you won't have set up a shop selling them then and should contact them and tell them to stop.

Via Google.

discodannie · 03/04/2022 15:53

It looms like a selling site that's free for 14days then chargeable at 10 per month

I can't see how you wouldn't know as you'd have inputted your card details

www.numonday.com/membership-account/membership-checkout/?level=7&plan_id=0

ImFree2doasiwant · 03/04/2022 15:53

I have googled. But I don't sell anything so I don't understand how or why I'm being charged. Or indeed why I suddenly started getting emails. I have used their "contact us" option but thought I post here in the meantime as thousands if people do.

@SamphiretheStickerist Jesus back off will you? Apologies for not being up to yours standards. People post questions here all day every day. It's allowed. I can't afford a random £10 and it's oanocked me, so while I'm waiting for a response from my "contact us" email, I'm asking here.

How can they charge you if you've never given them bank details?

Are you sure you haven't sold something recently, signed up and then forgot to cancel? Can you look at your deleted emails and see if any were "thank you for joining up" type messages?

ImFree2doasiwant · 03/04/2022 15:56

@discodannie thanks, I have definitely nit signed up for a selling platform.

I was wondering if it was some sort of scam

Just stop the direct debit and send them a snotty email. But if they have your card and email address and you didn't best it up you also need to get your card changed. Because you, someone you know or someone who has 'dipped' your card and knows your email address have set it up at some point.

ImFree2doasiwant · 03/04/2022 15:58

@lilahbelle definitely haven't sold anything. The only things I've ever sold have been via local Facebook pages, kids old toys etc. I dont even use ebay to sell.

And I have no idea how they'd have my CC details.

Numondays owner is incredibly dodgy. Constantly flouts GDPR rules and is a nightmare to cancel your membership.

For those that don't know, Numonday is supposed to be an alternative to Etsy. Except the owner does absolutely nothing to promote the site to buyers. He wants sellers to join and does nothing to bring in buyers, therefore collects sellers fees and does sweet FA.

MadameMachin · 03/04/2022 16:11

I had emails telling me I was subscribing to a thing called Jam Jar. I just ignored them as I hadn't set up any payment or given card details. It turned out that they were being added to my monthly phone account bill.
The advisor at the O2 shop was brilliant at getting the "subscription" cancelled, with a refund for the three months that I'd paid.

Yeah, I don't think the point of this old thread was a sales pitch...
