Fancy summarising or providing a reputable source? I absolutely will not ever click on DM links and I know many on MN feel the same.

PuffinMcStuffin · 02/04/2022 14:38

The best way to avoid being 'absolutely horrified' by probably not entirely true information is to not read the daily mail.

Admittedly, I haven't read the story because I refuse to read the Daily Mail, but the vast majority of their 'news' is shite.

JaneJeffer · 02/04/2022 14:40

Poor children Sad

ElmtreeMama · 02/04/2022 14:43

Ah thats fair enough.
I completely understand not wanting to read it! I wish I hadn't tbh.

It's about children (some as young as 3 months) being quarantined separately from their parents in China due to having covid and also the parents not having access to their small children or even getting information about it.

I hope its DM over hyped rubbish
That would make me feel better

Completely reasonable. Nothing matters apart from COVID.

It’s Chine —- individuals absolutely do not matter.
If you ever want to see how they really treat children with special needs watch The Dying Rooms. It will haunt you for ever.

JaneJeffer · 02/04/2022 14:57

@ElmtreeMama Thanks

TonTonMacoute · 02/04/2022 14:58

There are all sorts of horrific things that happen in China Hmm

ElmtreeMama · 02/04/2022 15:02

Yes you're right.

I've been avoiding the news tbh as I am more hormonal than usual but someone sent me this link.

I shall now go back to avoiding it.

What a sad world we live in.

Same as in Ukraine. The Russians have removed children from their parents and sent them to other areas in Russia. Ukrainians have been sent to work in Siberia. Pregnant women and medics were taken and sent to Siberia.

People are awful. So inhumane.

That was made in the early 1990s and provides a snapshot of a single orphanage out of millions. China has changed a lot since then.

Such as?
JaneJeffer · 02/04/2022 15:46

@veronicagoldberg look at how they treat Muslims for starters.

Agree. Just avoid the DM. Other news sources are bad enough but they are particularly sensationalist about emotive topics such as this one.
