So Rory Stewart tweeted an April Fool and the BBC fell for it.

I liked him already but he has gone up so much in my estimation now!

I hate the tories but always liked him. Plus he isn't a tory now. Why can't we have principled people in government who want to do good it's annoying the sensible ones get forced out.

How funny that the BBC are refusing to comment. Nobody would think badly of them saying "yeah, he got us!"

I think he got a bit of stick initially about lack of integrity. Hopefully those people soon realised what was going on.

It was brilliantly done, I did have a moment of 'Wftf whyyy' myself before I realised what day it was 😂

It was so obviously unexpected though, they really should have checked thoroughly.
