Just saw this on my local Facebook group, didn’t even know Easter trees were a thing? £28 as well 😮!! Anyone else seen any over eager Easter treats so far?

Yes. I have German family and the traditionally decorated Easter branches were an important part of my childhood. Now I love to gather a few twigs from the forsythia in our garden into a base and decorate them with little wooden eggs- but I’m really struggling to find tasteful wooden eggs. Most of the Easter stuff in shops is complete tat! Easter is a big deal in our family with lots of traditions. I actually love it more than Christmas. We’re going away this year and the DC are upset that they’re going to be missing out on their traditional family Easter. That said, I know not everyone does this.

My mum's always done it, she has wooden eggs she hangs from a branch. She's Italian, but I don't know if its a common thing there or she just likes the German tradition.

I am 50. I remember having Easter trees when I was still at junior school. Definitely not a new thing.
