Scam shopping sites

I took a chance on a clothing company based on a Facebook advert - I know, I know! - to order myself two tops that looked really lovely.
I didn't really expect them to ever arrive but they did; of course, they looked nothing like the pictures and the quality was awful.
I emailed customer services, they offered me a discount, or I could return them for a refund but I would have to pay the postage to China.
I returned them and never received a refund; I've emailed but no reply, and now the website has gone.
Is there any way of getting my money back or do I have to chalk it up to experience?
I never trust these ads, but I rarely see any clothes I like; it's so frustrating that these scams exist!

Only thing you can do is go through your bank and see if you can claim. At least now you know not to ever buy anything from these ads on social media. 9/10 times its a scam.

If you paid by credit card or better by Paypal, and have proof of the goods arriving back at destination then you might have some chance.
