Reception child can't skip count

Hi, my reception children, winter birthday, can't skip count.
I've been trying to help her practice it with manipulatives but she gets frustrated. She can add and subtract with manipulatives, count forwards and backwards to 10 again with manipulatives.

But her teacher seems quite concerned she can't skip count. They'll be expecting her to when she starts year 1. I'm hoping it'll suddenly click, what can I do to help?

Is she your eldest? I really wouldn’t worry to be honest. There is still 5 months until year 1. Ask the teacher what other number games you can play at home to help. If she gets frustrated id stop as it won’t help.

Watch YouTube and learn a song to the two five or ten times table. The music definitely helps.

Yes she is my eldest, I wasn't worrying until the teacher said she was concerned.

I will ask about any games, does anyone here have any suggestions?
