Inamo restaurant London

So we are going to London soon and I’m sorting restaurants etc. I love the idea of Inamo as we have nothing like it where we live (kids are 8 and 5). BUT although I like sushi, the kids and dh don’t like prawns, salmon or avocado. They all like Chinese type food but I’m worried there won’t be anything on the menu the can eat?
Don’t want to go to a Chinese restaurant, we have those here. I’m booking something like the hard rock for the other night etc already.
Please put my mind at rest about whether there is enough on the menu to please them or should I find an alternative?

What about a Korean Barbecue?
Arang in Golden square seems popular and is on my list of places yo visit.

Have you checked out the menu?

Imsittinginthekitchensink · 29/03/2022 21:34

It's not the kind of place you eat because of the food, imo, it's because of the table entertainment. At your DC's age, DD loved it, but ate little as she was so sidetracked by playing with the table. There's more than just fish and avocado.

I have looked at the menu but can’t quite visualise what certain things are, hence my asking for other peoples experiences?

Thank you, I guess it was the added entertainment value that inamo offered that I liked. It was so unusual, not just another dining experience?

Thanks, this is what I’m hoping, that there will be meat dishes etc too that are child friendly

It was dreadful when we went. The games didn't work and the staff were useless. It's quite overpriced too.

floofycroissant · 29/03/2022 22:04

It's a bit old hat now, must be well over 15 years old. There are better places in London especially if the majority don't like seafood.

Rainforest Cafe might be a good option for the ages you've mentioned, but it's a bit overpriced

floofycroissant · 29/03/2022 22:08

A good Teppanyaki restaurant could also be fun and less fish focused

PaperTyger · 29/03/2022 23:53

Op we live near London And I reckon the most basic restaurant in China town is a million miles better than our basic in posh village! And every other Chinese And take Way.

What's are you after.

Balthazar was great value for lunch and covent garden.many fabulous places have great lunch menu

PaperTyger · 29/03/2022 23:54

What's your budget ours Also loved Benni Hannah

youngestisapsycho · 30/03/2022 00:15

Rainforest cafe and Hard rock cafe are over priced and crap!

Pookymalooky · 30/03/2022 07:41

We’ve done rainforest before. I think it’s just something unique that we’ve not done before really? Tbh I think most stuff in London is overpriced but when in Rome?!
Benihana does look good (food gets cooked in front of you right?) but it looks pretty pricy??
It’ll be early dinner before theatre so around that area is ideal.

Zedel every time.

floofycroissant · 30/03/2022 08:24

I guess so long as your table works it'll be fine. They did have a kids menu but I can't find it now, and it was still fairly seafood orientated. So long as your DCs will eat noodles or you could call and ask about kid friendly dishes.
