Keeping 7yo DS entertained

I currently have covid and am spending most of the day on the sofa resting with the occasional nap.

7yo DS also has covid, but isn't feeling unwell, just grumpy, mainly.

I'm struggling to find things for him to do. In his current mood he struggles to use his imagination to play by himself, but he manages to follow instructions to do an activity - his Kiwi box got delivered yesterday and he was happy to do it independently.

I'm looking for ideas of things I can order and basically hand to him for him to do independently, because I don't have the energy to be digging out his craft things or guiding him through Lego ideas.

TV, iPad, reading, free play with toys

There is definitely a lot of TV and iPad happening!

Unfortunately the free play isn't because, while he isn't feeling unwell, he is definitely feeling grumpy and lacking imagination!

have you got any "odd jobs" he could do to help? sweeping up leaves outside, put the recycling out, sort out a drawer for clothes that don't fit, clear out books or toys he's grown out of, round up the laundry, start a shopping list with ideas for dinner next week??

That's a good idea! Mine used to love cleaning the windows at that age. And vacuuming Grin

I'm sure there's tons of jobs actually - great idea. Only the bare minimum housework is happening at the moment
