Hello
We are due to go to Cornwall next week to stay in a caravan.
Due to an unexpected bill and the price of fuel we will not have anywhere near the money I thought we’d have.
So can anyone recommend some free or very cheap things to do around penzance with two children (5 and 6). Thank you!

There is a great big free play park on the prom at Penzance, there's also another just a couple of miles away, on the prom at Marazion.
Marazion also has a lovely nature reserve with walkways through the Marsh.
Fly kites
Rockpooling
Crabbing
Take some art stuff to Newlyn and let them paint pictures of the boats or if it's raining take some photos and use them to paint pictures from when you get back to the caravan.
Catch the train to St Ives and go fishing from the pier.
Explore Lamorna cove and Porthcurno, have a wander up to the Minack theatre, its not much to get in when the plays aren't on and the view is spectacular.
Get yourself the Micheal Murpurgo book from the library about whales and then go whalewatching on a long walk along the cliffs.
Same with the Mousehole cat book, read it then have a mooch round Mousehole to see where it was set.
Collect pretty shells and pebbles.
See what's on for free at Tate St ives, sometimes they do kids events in the school holidays.
Don't forget council owned swimming pools.
