Struggling a bit, time off work

Hi all,

I’ve found MumsNet really useful in the past for advice. I am struggling,I took on a much higher level job 10 months ago and I am finding I can’t cope. I am waking at 3 -4 am (after going to bed lateish due to toddler). I am having nightmares relating to the job every night.

I resigned a week ago but now I feel I can’t go in on Monday and am considering trying to get signed off until my notice period is up.

Thank you for listening, it helps just to type it. I am not actually expecting any advice just needed to type it.

Thanks @AgathaMystery, that made me feel a bit better and that someone had heard what I was saying. Thanks for taking the time, you’re a nice person.

It's not worth your health OP, it's just a job at the end of the day and you've already resigned - I'd definitely contact the GP.

I hope you feel better x

Absolutely this. You never have to go back there if you don’t want to. No one will think any less of you enjoy the time off & focus on yourself xxx
