Favourite flower is a daffodil, they bring me so much happiness in spring. It is also my birth flower.
Lost both grandparents when I was small so thought maybe I could get their birth flower a daisy and rose almost 'hugging' the daffodil. Meaning behind it is to do with I'd give anything to have another hug from my grandparents.
Style either simple line art or watercolour. I'm conscious that my skin tans quite easily so will it detract from the colour.
Placement wise thinking inner bicep area but not set on this if it would work better elsewhere

I think it would work and could look lovely, I think line drawing would be much nicer than watercolour!

CraftyBugger · 22/03/2022 16:28

That's good to know! I wasn't sure if the 'hugging' part would be able to be portrayed.

I think it sounds lovely.
I have a tattoo of a hummingbird in honour of my dad. I decided to have it on the inside of my wrist so I can see it.

I also love daffodils, and just had two tattooed on my back a few months ago. I looked at so many daffodil tattoos! I went with simple line work, no shading or colour, and the stems are just single long lines.
The artist I went to does lots of bouquets of flowers, do you mean hugging together like in a bunch?

longtompot · 22/03/2022 19:12

What about something like this with the daffodil going up between the two?

@cannaethink sort of I guess, it's to describe my vision but maybe a couple of the leaves on the rose would wrap around the stem of the daffodil, I realise that a daisy doesn't have leaves as such but may include a little bit of other foliage to tie it all together.

Sounds lovely.

I wouldn't bother with a water colour, they dont last. Just look after it to keep it bright. It's a daily after a shower thing for ever if you get colour.

fairylightsandwaxmelts · 22/03/2022 19:42

It sounds lovely!

But I wouldn't get a watercolour style tattoo - they really don't age well.

cannaethink · 22/03/2022 20:06

This is what I mean by a bunch. Maybe the leaves from the rose could be what’s hugging it all together?

You could have the actual hug, unless that's too in your face.

Or entwined flowers /bunch.

Or the daffodil with a rose and daisy coming out on the side.

What you will need is a really good artist to design it for you. You have to be confident enough to suggest any adjustments,or anything you are not happy with, then sleep on it for a bit before you book.

@cannaethink that more along the lines of what I was thinking with the rose leaves entwined around
