Recycling question

I want to start recycling more plastic I use, and heard you could recycle plastic film, bags (most plastic that you can't curbside recycle) at all supermarkets now. How would I go about doing this, I've not seen a collection point?

Not all supermarkets take plastics. I have seen a collection site at my local tesco though

Co-op stores have collection points, usually outside, they are narrow grey bins, not very obvious so you might have to hunt for them or ask the staff. I gather Tesco now collect as well but am yet to go to a store and see their set up.

My local tesco and bigger one in the city both do soft plastic recycling

It's a covered cage ( like what the deliveries some, and the same as they use for the discounted stuff) at ours....
One is by the entrance near the trollies, other is at the back behind the checkouts. Not obvious unless you know but ask Smile

Thanks for the info, I'll have a look next time I go shopping. It says on Sainsbury's, Morrison's m&s, Lidl and Asda sites that they take soft plastic and glass recycling, though I've never noticed this on the shops...I think they should make customers more aware of this

Take a look at recycle now. They list a lot of places. I would never have known my local Sainsbury's recycles 15 different types of things without seeing it on there.

I've been recycling my soft plastics since last year.

Sainsburys - have black bins, but are pretty discrete.

Tesco - cages, near the entrance/exit.

Agree, they aren't hugely visible. Unless you know where to look.
