Hope everyone’s having a good Sunday. I was up before 6 as I am really suffering with leg/bum pain which gets worse when I’m lying in bed. Enjoyed watching “ Married At First Sight Australia “ which I am hooked on! Worked 10 til 2 & although it was very busy, I really enjoyed the shift. Popped to Tescos to get a meal deal ( was hoping to find the smoked ham & sliced egg sandwiches which are sooo good but ended up with bacon & egg). I may have bought a bottle of rose oops! Home to potter. DH went for a bike ride. DD13 came down from her room to tell me she was having a really bad day. We actually had quite a good chat which for a change didn’t end in DD getting argumentative or confrontational. She’s going through a very tough time & is school refusing. We’re on the waiting list for further CAHMS treatment & trying to get her moved further up. Had fun with the bunnies. They bring me so much joy. Tried a new taste sensation ( celery) & they absolutely loved it, bless them.
Was planning a healthy tea of pork loin steaks, mash, carrots & savoy cabbage but forgot to buy spuds so we’re having chips & peas with the steaks instead. Might watch a film tonight.

Dropped son at school at 8, went for eye test and did some shopping, sorted my diary for the week and have just finished dinner - sausages and mash tonight! Now laying on bed after taking off toe nail varnish (100 years old!) and mustering the energy for a hair wash. Happy Sunday all for once not dreading Monday - this lovely weather helps!

I was up bright and early; washing and ironing done before a nip to asda for some snacky bits for dd1 to take on her residential at York Uni tomorrow.

Home for lunch & help her pack her case (not sure she actually needed me tbh 🤷‍♀️).

This afternoon I cleaned out the fridge, placed my online Tesco order for Weds afternoon, and cooked a roast.

My dad called round with some money for dd1 to take with her (I don't think they'll get into the city but sure she'll use it sensibly if not 🤔🙄). He brought a huge bag of apples too 🤣some might become sauce.

We've all had showers & just chilling now. The girls were loudly playing chess, not long ago. I can't decide whether to crochet some more t-rex or read, and their dad is on the x-box playing F1.

Alarm set ready for the morning

Up stupidly early (5.30) this morning; tried to have a coffee in peace but dd followed me down. Park run with both dc then shopping for dm’s Mother’s Day present. Afternoon in the garden sorting and playing. Kids now in bed and I’m off to make soup.

@A580Hojas

DH is wfh. He's a University Lecturer and on a long stint of marking which will mean he works 60/70 hours a week for about 3 weeks per term.

I am gearing up to cook dinner, wish someone else would do it.

I feel his pain - I'm inching closer to that mountain of marking, too! The first round of assignments are due next week, closely followed by another cohort's a few days later. I've also agreed to help a colleague out with 60 essays for their module, and that's before I even think about the exam scripts coming my way in the spring...

My son and I went to a food market. He had a New York sub and I had some Thai food. Came home and watched regional
Sport. Kids gaming/ sleeping/ hanging out with friends . I had wine in front of fire watching old darling buds of may and will
Go to bed soon ! Love the fire and the dark
Nights . Love being rid of a difficult exh, relaxing with no stress and running around trying to avoid walking in egg shells . Bliss!!!

I really love these threads. They make me feel very comforted.

We had a long lie in today which is a rarity in our house. DC had a party so I took them and DP went for a short cycle. When we got home we all did a little bit of gardening and the DC played out in the street with the neighbours kids. It was lovely to be out in the sun.

This evening we took a walk through the park to admire the cherry blossom.

DP made a Sunday roast and I’m planning on having an early night to read my book.

Hope everyone had a really lovely Sunday.

We had a Chinese takeaway because DH and I will be on holiday on Mother’s Day so DD (24) and DS (17) wanted to do something today.

DS is now on his Xbox chatting to his mates. DH and DD are trying to get Semantle before the other one does and I am being smug because I did it this morning!

DS1 had a rugby match this morning so I got a lovely morning of playing slime with our two toddlers.

Watched F1 with DH in the afternoon (he gave me a lovely foot massage) while DS1 played fortnite and the two toddlers played toys / had cuddles with us. Ds2 has autism and loves watched the F1.

Dinner was using Up whah left in yeh fridge so homemade pizza for the kids as I had dough leftover.
DH had a burger and I made myself a little chicken & ham pie ( using left over roast chicken from Friday night. Still plenty left for tomorrow Grin)

Once kids in bed DH and I played our new board game. Perfect evening for us

jobseeker19 if you're still having trouble with mice get some wire wool from Wilko's / B&Ms and stuff loads of it in the holes. They can't chew through it. It's not expensive.
Had a lovely day with DH and DD who is just home from uni. Bought some strawberry and raspberry plants for the garden. Now watching a Marvel film.
