And now I'm questioning all my life choices!

What would be your dream job?

We’ve got dogs but the icing on the cake would be owning a donkey sanctuary

We have a donkey sanctuary near us! It also has some other disabled and elderly animals like goats and ducks. My teenage niece volunteers there one Saturday a month and loves it Smile

Dogs naturally know how to swim 😂 all our dogs just went in the water at some point...and swam.

LuckyKitty13 · 20/03/2022 06:50

Do you mean hydrotherapy?

Ylvamoon · 20/03/2022 06:59

I love to have a job testing different types holidays....
And yep, dogs do know how to swim, so I gess you just want to play with dogs all day long! 😏

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 20/03/2022 07:01

There is a man near me who takes people abs their dogs on guided walks, trail runs and wild swims in the Peak District. He targets holiday makers ggwho may not know the area, but basically charges people to join him doing what he would be anyway.

Seafog · 20/03/2022 07:30

It was a clip on helping dogs learn to swim that are afraid of water, helping them get confident
It looked like bliss!

Missing the point...

Why do dogs need to learn to swim? They can naturally swim, never taught mine and he's an excellent swimmer. People can naturally swim too, it's our fear that gets in the way

Tlollj · 20/03/2022 07:43

I thought all dogs can swim too.
That sounds like the name of my next bestseller.
I’d like to sit and read for a living.

Bananarama21 · 20/03/2022 08:04

I heard of this before as a swimming teacher, don't know if it would be lucrative but it seems popular although one place near me did close down which was a shame.

wouldHAVEshouldHAVEcouldHAVE · 20/03/2022 08:10

My dog had swimming lessons! He nearly drowned, had to be pulled out of the deep water he jumped into.
But the place I took him to is mainly used for exercise without joint impact and hydrotherapy.

This was a segment on Blue Peter recently.

PartyPlan · 20/03/2022 08:38

That sounds like my worst job actually! I wouldn’t want to get in a pool with dog hair in EnvyBlush

My dream would be owning a wedding venue. I

niceupthedanceagain · 20/03/2022 08:48

I always thought counting things was a pretty good job; rare ferns, seals, that sort of thing (see it all the time on Countryfile!)

homeedregret · 20/03/2022 09:14

@niceupthedanceagain I know someone who had to count how many people used a public toilet every day.

Seafog · 20/03/2022 18:02

@homeedregret that sounds so boring, poor them!
I'd also be happy being paid to read, as long as I didn't also have write reviews, or have someone to write them for me.
