Sickness bug/hives

Hey everyone Smile
I am going to take my son to the walk drs in tomorrow, But I’m just wondering if any of your children have had a stomach bug and had hives on their face at the same time and it being related? My son sent home from school feeling poorly on Tuesday later on that day he was sick and had diarrhoea he was sick only on the Tuesday on the Wednesday he continued to have diarrhoea and on Wednesday he started to get white bumps on his face which I’m guessing are hives as they’re itchy and they look like hives he hasn’t been around anything that he could be allergic to he’s not had anything different to eat he’s not been eaten much as he’s not been well hasn’t washed with anything different to usual nothing like that so I’m just wondering if a virus or sickness bug can cause hives as I’ve never heard it before, Also the hives went on the first day after having piriton but yesterday night they came back then they went by morning and the back again tonight is not as bad as they were but it’s just strange. I have uploaded a picture to this post

thanks for reading

My niece had something similar the other day. It was a 48 hour thing. She's 13

Hers where more like spots though. Not patches

Most common reason for hives in children is in reaction to a virus.

DD had this. 'Twas Covid.

Cold flannel helps with the itch.

Shock oh man. Maybe we won’t go to the drs then! Hopefully it will show up on an lft if it is. Thanks!

Viral rash

Thanks for your replies everyone. I’ve done 2 lateral flow tests on him which are both negative so here’s hoping they’re accurate 😬 I’ll just keep him home until the hives stop appearing I guess. Worried to take him drs in case it was covid haha
