Freaking out… prolapse?!

I need a hand hold and some advice please. I am absolutely freaking out Sad

I’ve had a terrible chest for a few months which has brought a nasty cough. All good in a few days I thought.

I’ve just been in the shower and can feel a bulge around the entrance of my vagina. I’m guessing it’s a prolapse caused by the cough.

I’m freaking out, what does this mean now? What do I do? Will it heal or get better on its own or is this it forever? Can I still have sex? Will my husband be repulsed?

A prolapse can be treated, so don't panic. The treatment depends on the type and severity of the prolapse. I would suggest seeking medical advice.

If your husband is any kind of husband, he should not be repulsed by you. As for sex, it depends whether it causes you discomfort. If it doesn't, there is no reason not to.

Don’t panic. I have had one for years and it does not cause me any symptoms and my husband says sex and oral sex are not affected. I don’t even know it is there unless
I feel it with my fingers.

Doctor suggested getting some kegal weights to stop it getting any worse which I have done. Just make sure you are doing your pelvic floor

Also I did feel a bulge at first but after a few days everything felt normal. But they are very treatable even if they start causing issues
