I have a childhood memory of someone on TV (possibly Lenny Henry on Tiswas) doing a sketch where he would say
"Ok" for as long as possible.
I mentioned it to a colleague today who is a similar age to me and he had no recollection of it.
Also, Google searches have proved fruitless.
Is this some sort of false memory?
It's annoying me 😂😂

Def Lenny Hendry. My brother used to torture us with constant impersonations.

I think it was Lenny Henry on Three of a Kind.
I loved Tiswas. 'Saturday is Tiswas day!'
I had older brothers so I got to watch it.
Stu Francis also used to say - 'I could jump off a doll's house' and 'I could rip a tissue.' Why did we used to think that was hilarious?

He did a song. "Algernon wants you to say ok
OoOOOooo kay"

Yes my memory is of annoying boys constantly saying it.

LH does the oooooookaaaaaay (and there's a grappling of grapenuts) in this record too 😂

@Sparklingbrook

We were not allowed to watch Tiswas Sad, ITV was banned in our house. We were allowed to watch Swap Shop and if we thought our parents couldn't see we'd switch it over. I remember the FFF, and LH saying oooooookaaay! Also there seemed to be a lot of children in cages getting gunged?
I wasn’t allowed to watch tv at all in the morning I think 4pm was switch on time. So I spent every Saturday morning at my friends house.
